Distress Oxide Inks

I have been playing around a little with the new Distress Oxide Inks.  Here are two cards made with just two colors of these inks and watercolor paper and using the ink smooshing technique.  One of the unique characteristics of these inks are you can layer one color upon another without any "muddying" of the colors.

Thanks so much for visiting today.

Papertrey Ink, Cornered Die

Today I have a card to share that uses the Papertrey Ink Cornered Birthday Die.

I cut the die from two colored cardstocks, inlaid the letters from one into the other, layered over some birthday patterned paper, and added a bit of Wink of Stella to the balloons.  That's all.

Thanks for visiting today.

A Woodland Wedding Card

Recently a good friend asked me to make her a non - traditional wedding card for a friend who is an outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking.  I tried to incorporate "outdoorsy" elements - ferns diecut from handmade paper and real birch wood.  For the background I used a piece of white handmade paper with waves that reminded me of a river.  And I added a few white sequins and silver heat embossed the sentiment.  Really pretty!

Thanks so much for visiting.

Over the Hill Card

Today I have a card to share made for a friend who is celebrating one of those "really big" birthdays.

Here is the front of the card - very simple, a green die cut "hill" on a cloudy sky.

And here is the card inside:

Rubbernecker Easter Bunny

Lately I've been super busy, so today I'm sharing a very cute and fun Easter card giving to me by Jan, a friend and fellow card maker.  The bunny is so sparkly - thanks to Wink of Stella - but hard to photograph.  I love this bunny stamp so much, and may just have to use it on my Easter cards next year.

Supplies used include:  Taylored Expressions Burlap Embossing Folder, Rubbernecker Stamps Bunny with Bow, Hero Arts Best Wishes (for the flower bouquet), Simon Says Stamp Tilted Banners Die, Simon Says Stamp Jellybean Ink, Versafine Onyx Black Ink, Distress Ink in Tattered Rose, Wink of Stella, and handmade paper from Blick Art Supplies

Thanks so much Jan for the card and the letting me share it on my blog.
