Kindness Matters

Merry Christmas!  One of the gifts I gave to many people this year were two sets of cards, all with the message of kindness.  I also included the message that one set was suppose to be given out (before opening either) to someone that was very kind or in need of a bit of kindness.  Kindness really does matter, not just today but everyday.  Here are some of the cards that I made.

A Little Christmas Humor

Today I have several cards to share, all are Christmas cards with a little humor.  They were made for my nephews to include a "little something green" inside them.  I absolutely loved the way all three came out.

More Christmas Flamingos

Today I have a few more cards made with an old stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle called very appropriately "Christmas Flamingo".  They show how you can get such different looks from just one stamp.

This next card has beautiful metallic gold shine both on the intersecting lines and the flamingo, which unfortunately doesn't show up in the photo.

The last two of the cards were made with beautiful paper from the Paper Source.  They have some gorgeous papers.

Flamingo Bells

While shopping with my daughter at a paper crafting store, she saw the Avery Elle Flamino Bells stamp set and asked me to make her some Christmas cards using them.  Here are some of them.

I think they all came out nice.  Thanks so much for visiting today!

And Three More Christmas Cards

I have three more Christmas cards to share today.

The photo below shows a little bit of the beautiful silver embossing of the deer in that last card.  I have such a hard time photographing metallic colors or glittery shine.

Santa Clause, Two Ways

For both my cards today I used the same very large santa stamp and colored in two different ways.  I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers for both but one is more traditional colors and the other has a vintage look to it.  I couldn't decide which I liked better.

Brown Bear Tags

One of the custom orders I filled for my Etsy shop this holiday season were a set of Christmas gift tags all featuring brown bears.  Here are some pictures of them.

Bulldog Gift Tags

Here are three pictures of some gift tags I made for my vet, with bulldogs on them.  I apologize for the poor picture quality.  I was just too busy (or maybe tired and lazy) to get out my light tent.  I just layed them on my counter top, snapped a few pictures and got them delivered.

Christmas Cards

So, I don't know about you, but I just can't seem to get it all done.  There just seems to be so much that "needs" doing before the holidays.  Yes, I know it doesn't all NEED to be done.  "Need" is a word we use too much.  But they are all things I'd like to get done and as hard as I try I feel like I just won't get everything done.  Each day I try to prioritize what is most important, and hope that all the important things get checked off.  But, at the bottom of the list has been writing blog posts since that's something I do for fun, for myself.  Since I do have a bunch of cards I want to share before Christmas gets here I think I will try over the next 10 days or so to just post the pictures and not write too much about the cards or the process.

I recently made a bunch of bulldog Christmas cards for my vet and his wife.  They are passionate about bulldogs and work with bulldog rescue.  So, here's a few of the cards from the ones I made them.

Winter Cheers

Recently my daughter asked me to make a wine bottle tag for a good friend of hers - with a snowman on it.  This is what I came up.

I don't have a wine bottle tag die, so I cut a rectangle, scored the fold line, used a circle die for the top and an eyelet arch borders die (Simon Says Stamp) along the bottom edge.  I layered a bit of snowflake patterned paper and a couple of strips of white glitter paper.  The snowman and the little wine glass and wine bottle were stamped, colored and diecut.  And a little black "cheers" diecut finished it off.  I do like the way it came out - cute, and exactly what my daughter wanted.
