A short post, just to say today we all give thanks.

Supplies used include paint chips to die cut the leaves.  I LOVE how this looks in real life - beautiful metallic colors.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Pug Rescue of Florida's Pugsgiving 2017

Last weekend was Pug Rescue of Florida's annual fundraiser, Pugsgiving.  Each November this is held in Orlando and is always so much fun - lots and lots of people and lots and lots of pugs.

It's always great to see so many of the volunteers that we have become friends with.  This year it was especially nice to see Jeannie as she has dealt with major health issues since we saw her last.  It is because of Jeannie that I became involved with selling my cards to benefit Pug Rescue of Florida.  When we adopted our pug Lena several years ago  Jeannie was Lena's foster mommy.  Jeannie has fostered an incredible number of pugs and is just an amazing, amazing person.  To thank her for being such a great foster I sent her some cards with pugs on them.  She loved them and said "we should sell these".  I thought ok? - it sounded like a great idea but I just wasn't sure if anyone would buy them. People do buy them, and we do raise a lot of money for Pug Rescue of Florida.

We sell on Etsy all year long and this was our third year selling at Pugsgiving.  And we raised a lot of money - almost $700 in one day.  And Pug Rescue of Florida received 100% of that.  Here are some pictures of our displays.

Here is a close up of some of the gift card holders.

 And the wine bottle tags.

And decorated gift bags.

Hooray!

Today I have a card to share that is a little different than my usual style, but I really love the way it came out.  I stamped the rectangle frames at a recent card making day with friends.  This is one of those cards that came out exactly how I saw it in my mind.  That doesn't happen too often.

Here's another view of it.

I stamped and colored the rectangles and cut out right along the black edges.  Running a black marker along those edges after cutting gives a nice finished look.  Then I simply added the Hooray die cut in black and vellum, and that was it.  Clean and simple, but so stunning.  OK, that's just my opinion.

Supplies used include - AlteNew Framed Stamp and Neat and Tangled Hooray Die, Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers

Thanks so much for visiting today.
