Today I have a masculine birthday card to share made for my son, one of the two best things I've done in my life (my daughter being the other).
The background was made recently at a card making day with friends. We were playing around with a friends new Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry Colors Watercolor Set. Using a couple of the different gold colors we painted a faint background, then broad lines, then splattered tiny dots. The gold is very beautiful but was a bit difficult to photograph. I stamped the Papertrey Ink Splits Happy Birthday (just the top and bottom) on top of the background and heat embossed in black. I then used a bit of red distress ink and a waterbrush and added a few accent lines. The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped and embossed in red on vellum and added before mounting on a red mat and onto a card made from Neenah Desert Storm 110 lb cardstock. A few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh finished it off.
Thanks so much for visiting today!
