Grateful, Happy Thanksgiving
Today I'm sharing a few of the Thanksgiving cards I've made. The first two have a grateful diecut that I added several layers of gold embossing powder.
This last card has the center turkey on an action wobbler spring so it really does "wobble".
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a happy Thanksgiving.

Pugsgiving 2019
Today I don't have a card to share, but I do have a few pictures.
On November 2nd in Orlando Pug Rescue of Florida held their largest annual fundraiser called "Pugsgiving". It's a super fun time with more pugs than you can imagine, pug games and contests, pug costumes, pictures with Santa, and lots and lots of very dedicated volunteers! This was my fifth year selling my cards there with Pug Rescue receiving 100% of the sale prices. And I am really happy to say on that one day I raised $925 for them through the sale of cards, gift tags, decorated gift bags, wine bottle tags and gift card holders. Here are a few pictures.
And one final picture, my sweet Lena (who came to me through Pug Rescue of Florida) sitting on Santa's lap. She looks a little uncomfortable - maybe she was a little worried if she was on Santa's naughty list.

Avery Elle Party Fox
Today I have a card using the Avery Elle party fox stamp set. It also uses paper from Avery Elle for the background.
Recently Avery Elle did a hurricane fundraiser to benefit the people of the Bahamas, you donate $50 for a surprise bag with goodies valued over $150. My two card making friends and I each made a donation and I must say we were so thrilled with our surprise bags. We each received two 6x6 patterned paper pads, many stamp sets and die sets, 5 or 6 pigment ink pads, couple spools of twine all in a zippered project bag. They even coordinated the ink pad colors with the patterned paper pads. I've used products from Avery Elle for years but just want to say they are an amazing company!

A Long Absence, and A Simple Masculine Birthday Card
I've been absent from my blog for WAY too long. I'm really going to try to change that. Until I can get back into a regular routine I'm going to just share cards without a lot of information on supplies or how I made them. Eventually I hope to get back to full blog posts.
Today I have a simple masculine birthday card that features no stamping, just diecutting, along with patterned paper.

Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day to all the dads! Here's the card I made for my husband who is truly the best dad he could possibly be to our kids.
This was a simple and fairly quick card to make, but I really did love the color combination. I also love the look of inlaid letters - the "happy". It only takes a few minutes to inlay pieces in a diecut.
Supplies used include dies from Simon Says Stamp, Gina Marie designs and Reverse Confetti, and patterned paper from American Crafts.
Have a great day!

Happy Mother's Day
Today I have a cute mom's day card to share.
I used products from PaperTrey Ink (for the lacy die cut), Penny Black (Flower Portrait die), and Sunny Studios (for the very cute pugs and the sentiment). I die cut the flowers and frame from both light blue and white, colored the flowers with copics and then inlaid all the pieces.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there!

Birthday Butterflies
Today's card was made for a good friend, who is also an expert card maker. Since she LOVES butterflies, I thought this was perfect. OK, maybe she says she doesn't love butterflies on cards. Maybe she says they look like cards for old ladies. I've kind of made it my mission to somehow convince her that isn't true. And since this was a BIG birthday for her, it's perfect either way.
It's hard to see in the picture, but the shaker pouch (from My Favorite Things) is filled with tiny clear butterfly sequins (Hero Arts Butterfly Sequin mix) along with swarovski crystals. The Happy Birthday circle die is also from My Favorite Things. For the background I used distress inks to create rainbow colors on a Concord and 9th Everday Tintables.
Dee, hope you have a great birthday!

May Day
I have a card to share today that I made for May Day. It's hard to see in the photo just how pretty that violet patterned paper is.
When we were young, my sisters and I had a "May Day" tradition. We would pick a huge bouquet of deep purple wild violet flowers, take them home to mom, ring the doorbell, and then run away. To this day violets are still my favorite flower. When I had lunch with my sister on May 1st she surprised me with a basket of violets - African violets, not wild - and she pretended to ring a doorbell. So nice!! I think that is the first time I've received a May Day basket. And of course, we talked about all those violets we would pick for mom. Great memories!

Tiny Fish
Today I have a simple card that makes use of some really pretty patterned paper.
You can see the shine of the tiny fish a little better in this next photo. They were diecut (Impression Obsessions die) from silver metallic cardstock, with tiny black eyes. There are 5 tiny fish, of different sizes. This has special meaning for the person I made this card for.

Tropical Thank You
For today's card I used patterned paper from Dare 2B Artzy, and a thank you die from The Stamp Market.
To make the thank you die really stand out against the busy background I layered it three times. Super simple and fast, but still very pretty.
